Check it! We want you to vote
In today's increasingly heated climate in many contexts it can be a frustrating time for Americans and the world around us. We feel like it's more important than ever to make yourself heard. With elections coming up this November the time is now to take a stand. Here at Sugar Bunch we're all about freedom of expression and being the you that you want to be. Major decisions are taking place everyday that can directly impact your life and potentially threaten that self expression.
No matter the color of your skin, your gender, how you identify, your spirituality or who you love, your voice matters and you deserve to be heard and represented.
This month we're using the Sweet Select platform to encourage every of age American to not only register to vote but also educate themselves on the issues and candidates in question. It is our civic duty and a privledge that not all are granted to vote and take an active roll in the future of this country.
Upholding the democratic values of the good ole US of A and our Sweet Select legacy, we have 2 designs to vote on via Instagram stories. The winner will be available on a T-shirt for purchase now through the first week of November. Both designs are inspired on the elections and to hopefully will inspire everyone that is able to take advantage of registering and voting. Way better than a sticker, you can sport your shirt to the polls and all the way leading up.
Because this is such a crucial time in our society, I wanted to do something positive for those who are in need of help and representation. For every purchase of the winning design, 100% of the profit will be donated to The National Women's Law Center...
An organization that works to protect and promote equality and opportunity for women and families. They're mission is to level the playing field for those in need. You can read more about the breath of their work and accomplishments at the above link. You can also donate and read about other ways to take action if you're so inclined.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to make an impact in our small but valuable way. I hope this will inspire everyone to be an active participant when and where you can. Whatever your beliefs and stances, do your part in research and action.
Through art and community we can inspire and make change. I do believe that.
Hopefully yours,
Jess & Sugar Bunch
